Magic Hour bundles 100+ photo and video AI tools, with limits on the free tier
Magic Hour brings background removal, image upscaling, and old photo restoration together on one site, with a genuinely free no-signup tier for quick edits, though full access to higher resolution and commercial rights runs through paid credits.
Over 100 tools in one place
Magic Hour bundles more than 100 AI tools into one site, covering photo editing alongside video and audio generation: a background remover, an image upscaler, old photo restoration, face swapping, talking photos, lip sync, colorizing, and a handful of other editing tools most people would otherwise hunt down as separate apps. For anyone who just needs one or two of those jobs done without installing anything, having them under a single interface is the actual selling point, more than any individual tool being best-in-class.
“Free” has daily limits, not no limits
The free access isn’t quite as open-ended as it’s sometimes made out to be, though. Magic Hour’s own product pages advertise specific, limited allowances: five background removals a day in the browser with no signup and no watermark, and image upscaling capped at 2x without an account, with 4x requiring a sign-in. Beyond those daily caps, the platform runs on paid subscriptions starting at $19 a month, scaling up to $99, each tied to a monthly credit allotment that governs resolution, watermarks, and whether outputs can be used commercially at all. Creating a free account adds 400 starter credits plus another 100 for logging in daily, which covers more casual use than the no-signup tier but still isn’t unlimited.
So the honest version is narrower than “everything is free with no registration”: a few specific, high-demand tools really do work without an account, within daily limits, and that’s genuinely useful for quick one-off edits. Anything beyond that, higher resolution, no watermark, commercial rights, or heavier daily use, routes through credits and eventually a subscription like most freemium AI tool suites. Worth bookmarking for the free tier alone, just not worth treating as a permanently free replacement for a paid editing subscription.
“Five free background removals a day is a real, useful tool, it’s just not the same promise as ‘everything, free, forever, no account needed.’”
